Allegedly an even older idol had been stolen few years back from the same temple, followed by theft of the second idol (that was established in its place)few months back, facebook page, Documenting Crimes Against Hindus has reported.

Dhanapur, Chandauli: Idol of Maa Kali were stolen from a temple in Chandauli late night. The thieves broke into the temple and stole Maa Kali’s idol made of marble stone. The idol had eyes of gold.

Villagers registered their protest against the police for not taking proper action.

Allegedly an even older idol had been stolen few years back from the same temple, followed by theft of the second idol (that was established in its place)few months back. Police failed to have any success in those two cases.

This was the third time that the miscreants stole the holy idols from this temple.
