Advocate Rabindra Ghosh, President of Bangladesh Minority Watch (BDMW), contacted Azizur Rahman Miah, Officer-in-Charge of Laxmipur Sadar Police Station to find out about the incident, facebook page Documenting Crimes Against Hindus has reported.
Two idols, including Hindu Goddess Kali idol were vandalised by unknown perpetrators in the middle of the night at on April 25th, 2020, Bangladesh police said. Hindus are in insecurity in the minority areas. The incident happened in Sri Sri Rakshakali Temple in Shakharipara 5th ward under Sadar police station, Laxmipur district , Bangladesh.

Miah said this desecration could have taken place at around 12 noon on April 25, 2:00 am and then again at 4:00 am, on 26th April.
Ravi Das Nandi, a Temple attendant, has filed a case with Laksmipur Sadar Police Station (Case No. 19 dated 27.04.2020 Section: 457/295/435 Penal Code). He added that the accused would be arrested and an investigation is underway.
He also spoke to BDMW and said “please save us and save the religious institutions of Hindus ”
