Swamiji was taken to a nearby hospital, by a resident Sanjeeb Talwad , where he revealed that the attackers had tied his hands and legs and attacked him, facebook page Documenting Crimes Against Hindus has reported.
Hoshiarpur, Punjab: Swami Pushpendra was attacked around at 10 pm by two unknown miscreants while taking rest in his Ashram here. The perpetrators reportedly jumped inside the ashram over the walls and attacked him.
Swamiji was taken to a nearby hospital, by a resident Sanjeeb Talwad , where he revealed that the attackers had tied his hands and legs and attacked him. He suffered injuries. He also revealed that the attackers stole away 50,000 rs in cash and some other items from the ashram.
Police has registered complaints under IPC 394/34 in this case and is investigating the matter. They are, however, as of now far from any leads
In a similar incident of attack on temple priest that took place in this same week in Siwan, Bihar , miscreants entered the temple complex in a similar fashion, attacked the priest and stole away valuable items. The priest couldn’t survive the assault.
It is worth pointing out that this modus operandi of attacks on Hindu priests is similar to that of “chhahmaar gang”.
