The directive to this effect was issued by Additional Chief Secretary Renuka Kumar on Wednesday (17 March),
The state government has also postponed the evaluation of answer sheets for the 2020 high school and intermediate examinations till 2 April.
The decision came after groups of teachers refrained themselves from evaluation centres due to the corona scare.
The postponement of the evaluation process will now lead to a delay in the announcement of results for high school and intermediate.
According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, so far 15 positive cases of COVID-19 have been reported from Uttar Pradesh.
