Shri Shiva Mahapurana Katha is being organised at Shri Gupteshwar Mahadeva Mandir premises as part of series of events to mark Mahashivratri festival. On Tuesday, second day, Vyas Peeth, Dr Swami Mukund Das Ji Maharaj described the knowledge in Puranas. He said the knowledge lying in our Vedas and Puranas are for the well-being of mankind.
Swami Ji, describing about different castes mentioned in Puranas, said that every moment and every second, we are going towards our death. We all are bound by time.
But that time is being controlled by Mahakala meaning that Lord Shiva is the controller of time.
He added that the hair is lying on head like our thoughts. When hair is combed and fastened, it shows that how our thoughts are collected and kept for betterment. He said, Moon is the ruler of our inner sense. It affects our heart and inner sense through our hair.
In the hair of Lord Shiva, the moon of second day is decorated. Hence, the devotion and worship of Lord Shiva gives control over our emotions, thoughts and inner sense.
In the ongoing Katha, eminent religious personalities, including Dandi Swami Kalkanand Ji Saraswati Maharaj, Acharya Dr Krishnakant Chaturvedi, T D Joshi, Brijesh Upadhyay, Gyani Mishra, Dilip Agrawal, Dr B K Mishra, Pundit Mahendra Raghuveer, Ramashankar and others are participating.
