The Hindu festival Maha Shivratri will be celebrated on 24^th February, 2017. The festival is celebrated also because Lord Shiva and goddess Parvati married on this day.  It’s also known as the day Lord shiva performed the Tandav nrtiya or dance. The Lord Shiva is also called  Kameshwar. A God who helms control over desire. Lord Shiva is also recognised as ‘The Lord of Love’. As this festival is celebrated by all religions,  a lot of songs have been dedicated to the Lord across popular culture.
