VIJAYAWADA: The officials of Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam are exploring all possibilities to implement a master plan to develop the temple premises at an estimated cost of Rs 100 crore. Over the years, the devasthanam officials are making use of the funds donated by the devotees for the development of temple, but now they have decided to get donations for implementing temple development master plan.
Temple authorities formed committees comprising officials and priests. They met the donors and corporate companies like Tata, Birla, Ambanis, Adanis and others, along with politicians seeking their support for the temple development. The companies responded positively to the proposals submitted by the devasthanam.
“With the donors and the government support, we are looking forward to implement the temple master plan. We had already informed Birla Group and Ambanis regarding the master plan for which they responded positively. We are also planning to seek funds from the industrialists and film actors from neighbouring states of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Telangana,’’ temple executive officer A Surya Kumari said.
