Ayodhya Ram temple trust account opened at SBI for depositing donation money

The amount of donation money collected in ‘Ram Lalla Daan Patra’ would be deposited in this account on Thursday, The New Indian Express has reported.

Lucknow: The preparations of construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya gained momentum on Thursday in the name of ‘Shree Ram Teerth Keshtra Trust’ at the State Bank of India in Ayodhya. A current account was opened with zero balance facility.

The amount of donation money collected in ‘Ram Lalla Daan Patra’, would be deposited in this acount on Thursday.

Earlier the donation money was in a different bank account operated by Ram Janmbhoomi complex ‘receiver’ .

PM Modi announced the Ram Teerth Kshetra Trust in parliament on February 5 this year, owing to this the Ram Janmbhoomi complex ‘receiver’ handed over the charge to Raj Bimalendra Mohan Pratap Mishra, who belongs to Ayodhya royal family.

The first meeting of the trust was held on 19 February, where the proposal of opening a bank account was given.

The total amount collected so far for Ram Temple construction is Rs. 10 crore, which is to be counted in the presence of trustees and the SBI officials before being deposited in the account.

Govind Dev Giriji Maharaj of Pune has been appointed treasurer of the newly-formed temple trust.
